Dog Toys Organic
People are really making an effort to help protect the environment and the pet toy market has followed suit. Everyone realizes the climate is changing and we may be the ones to blame. Why buy products that are created in a factory that is bellowing out chemicals when you can buy organic dog toys that are available all over the place? When you buy organic dog toys, you are contributing to many small areas that you might not notice. You are helping the environment, a small business, and possibly the life of your dog.
Organic dog toys are usually made from recycled or biodegradable material so they don't have any long term effect on the environment. A solid rubber toy may last the entire life of your dog but when you throw it away, it will last hundreds of years in a landfill. A toy that has been knitted, sewn, or specifically designed to biodegrade will not last quite that long and will still offer your dog something fun to play with.
Most organic dog toys are made from cotton or sewn together with strong materials such as hemp. Hemp is a very strong type of rope and is very easy to wash. You and your dog can enjoy hours of fun each day pulling on the rope and it will stand the test of time. Cotton dog toys typically don't last that long. Some dogs really become attached to stuffed animals or cotton squeaky toys and don't rip them up but large dogs usually dish out some punishment. Your best bet is to buy one or two organic cotton toys and see how long they last. If you feel it's cost effective, you can buy them in bulk.
One of the best organic dog toys on the market is made from recycled rubber. Simply put, it's a ball! Yes, dogs love chasing balls. They come in a variety of colors and feature the recycling symbol on the side. Not only will your dog love them but other environmentally conscious dog owners will see it and ask you about it. Other recycled rubber toys come in sticks or dumbbell shapes and are always a great conversation starter at the park.
